Chuck
It was utterly confusing, and fairly predictable at the same time. I didn't figure out why Chuck's roommate did what he did or why he was killed, and I don't think we're supposed to know why the info came to Chuck for a while. It might be fun fluff for awhile. Chuck the character is fun; Adam Baldwin's character looks like he could be fun; Chuck's best friend is about the worst stereo typing possible; sexy girl, super spy is kind of a big yawn. Could be fun for the laughs, as an adventure show I wouldn't expect much from it.

Heroes
It seemed like the new season started out in the middle of the worst part of last year's doldrums. Why do we need yet more super characters? There were too darn many last year! Claire's mom acted like she had yet another mind wipe. The gaijin (sp?) Kenzai was beyond disappointing. I think [livejournal.com profile] ann1962 is correct and that Hiro is the source of the legend. Mr. Bennett or whatever they are going to call him this year is still creepy. Attacking his annoying boss would only succeed in a comic book story like Heroes. I think it was a dumb idea. I also didn't care for the in show Nissan commercial. " Oh, dad! Thank you for buying me the latest model from the company that puts us on the air. I'm sure I can keep a low profile in this car that's too expensive for any teen to afford the insurance on let alone afford the payments! I'm sure all the other children of the employees of the copier supply place have them!"

I think that people who enjoyed Heroes the most last year will like it again this year. After last night I've decided not to watch it, this year. Too much of the same old, same old.

I didn't watch Quantum Leap, excuse me, Seven Days, er, Journeyman. It's not the idea has been done before that bothers me, but rather having it so late in the evening. I think a young audience which hasn't seen those other shows might really make it fly. But the older folks, who've seen it all before including teens old enough to have seen Seven Days, may pass on it before too long.

I am looking forward to Bones tonight!

Oh, my. The worst thing (assuming you didn't look different) would be to go back in time and not remember who you were crazy about at the time! Since you're not going to say it's particularly good, I'm glad I switched to PBS last night.
