I've tried to limit myself to two in each catergory otherwise it gets to be a matter of listing every episode.

1. Favorite seasons of Buffy (notice they said favorite, not best)
Season 4
Season 3
1 a. Least favorite
Season 6
Season 1
I find it far less disturbing that a lot of people seem to identify with Buffy's depression in season 6, than I do that they fiind it entertaining.

2. Favorite episodes:

Season 1: Prophecy Girl, Angel

Season 2: Surprise-Innocence, Becoming I & II, A lot of good contenders that year.

Season 3: Helplesss, Graduation Day Part I. Several others were almost as good.

Season 4: Hush, Who Are You, Restless, So many good ones I couldn't pick just two.

Season 5: Fool for Love, The Body

Season 6: Once More With Feeling, Tabula Rasa,

2a. Least favorite

Season 1 Teacher's Pet, I Robot You Jane

Season 2 Reptile boy, Bad Eggs.

Season 3 Deadman's Party, Amends

Season 4 Goodbye Iowa, Where the Wild things Are.

Season 5 I Was Made to Love You, Spiral

Season 6 All the Way, Grave

I purposely left out season 7 favorite and least favorite. I'll wait to watch them again when the DVD's come out.

Uhm, okay, least favorites:

Buffy Seasons: Season 1 and Season 7

(regarding entertainment - nothing too disturbing, we didn't *enjoy* as in laugh and giggle over the
the pain and torture others have (no enjoyment there), so much as were surprised and appreciative of the risks taken and emotionally identified with what the characters went through - the tale being told. I certainly don't re-watch Dead Things very often for instance, since I flinch during a good portion of it, but I was entertained and surprised by it and it blew me away dramatically speaking. Sort of like being blown away by a *really* good horror film or book. It comes down to why you watch basically - do you watch to laugh and smile and be comforted and happy or do you watch to be gripped and challenged intellectually and emotionally? Buffy was never my comfort show. Not sure made sense, hard to explain.)
