I normally wouldn't announce the birth of another grand niece, but my youngest niece just named her new baby Willow Anne. I figure a slayer with serious magical powers, or more like the rest of the family, a bookish computer geek, who will waitress to make ends meet. ;o)

One can never have too many grand-nieces, I say. And Willow Anne is a lovely name. Is your niece a fan, or was it a coincidence?

I honestly don't know if it's a coincidence or not. I think the last time I discussed TV shows with her, my niece wasn't watching Buffy, but that was a long time and many years of Buffy reruns on cable ago. I know she likes Sci-fi and fantasy, so there's a good chance at least the Willow part was influenced by Willow Rosenberg.
