It was pretty nippy, though. I turned my heater off a few weeks ago thinking, "Summah's here!" and there have been some warm days, but yesterday I was huddling with my blankie.

I usually am happy if I can have both the heat and the AC off at the same time for a full week in the spring and fall in this town.

I've had it that way for two weeks. But I have good survival skills for handling both sudden changes in heat and cold without mechanical aids, having lived in SF with no air conditioning at all, and a radiator I didn't dare turn on because you could never turn it back off when you needed to.
