To the left is the yucca elata in back. I showed the stalk beginning to rise earlier. The second picture is my pride and joy, yucca rostrata that dominates the view into my back yard from inside the house. This is the first time it has bloomed. The main part of the rostrata about twice the size of the main portion of elata, But with the flower stalks the rostrata is about two feet shorter.

I love the second yucca! Congrats on the blooming! They (or one that looks like it) grow really well here and I keep meaning to get one.

I had a yucca flacca in Missouri, which was more grassy than these and looked great with the lawn. These two can grow into small trees over time. The flowers on all the yuccas are very similar I think.
