It seemed like I was done with my yearly springtime miseries when I lived in Phoenix. Not that I never got ill, but it wasn't the clockwork like illnesses of Spring I had in Missouri. But I had a headache most of this week and on Thursday, I felt really awful and went to bed just after lunch when I noticed my left hand shaking, an early sign of what became fever chills. I felt better on Friday, much better still today. But though I physically could do the trip to the store today to get a few things I'm short of, I feel like I'm still probably contagious, so home I'll stay for at least another day. It probably is flu, but can't be sure.

I had no problems going out and watering this morning. The grapes looked like they needed it. There is another viney thing on the back wall that's about to bloom. The rose bush is covered with small deep red blossoms. The buds are disturbingly blood red, but the open blooms are a less menacing, deep rosy red. the orange tree still has a few white blossoms. The sages out front might get a purple-red bloom or two from the watering, but they'd need a good soaking to really be showy.

I wish I was well.
