Week 31

Mailed my ballot Saturday morning, so Trump won't win unanimously unless there is some serious hanky-panky.

We have a Republican Senator, Martha McSally, running to complete the unexpired term of the late John McCain. She lost the election two years ago for a full term, but was appointed by the Governor when McCain died. She ran a dirty campaign last time, and she's doing it again. Hopefully it won't work this time either. Both she and her challenger Mark Kelly flew ground attack jets in combat in the Gulf War. She for the Air force. He for the Navy. Kelly later piloted the space shuttle. His wife is Gabby Giffords who was a Congresswoman when she was shot in the head at a political rally several years ago, just north of Tucson. She has difficulty speaking, but seems otherwise to have recovered.

I was bold and went out to get some take-out chicken wings yesterday evening. There is just something pleasing about going out safely rather than taking delivery. (I know everyone doesn't have that option.) The place was busy, all take-out, and everyone was wearing a mask and keeping good distance.
