Seems like I have done nothing since I started getting my roof repairs arranged at the beginning of the month. In the past ten days, I scanned my TV channels and my sister's a couple times to get all the channels back. (Both of us had been missing PBS for about a month before the big digital change). And that's about it except for reading and a little technical writing for myself. It's easy to get cabin fever here in the summer, and I'm feeling a little glum about missing the ATPo get-together next week. So I decided to do some cooking which is something I don't do a lot of in the summer because of the air conditioning. I got most of the fixings yesterday, and went out for a few things today. The young woman at the register sees that all I have is oranges and barbecue sauce, and asks, "Are you barbecuing today?" ""Yes." "What are you barbecuing?" "Ribs." She smiles.

So it's cooking away, and in about a hour I'll have more calories than three people need, but I think I'll feel better.

Sounds great. Chris is a big grill person and pretty good. We're not getting much chance here because we're prtty solidly in the rain belt this year!

Ohh, barbecued ribs. Yum, yum.
Maybe next year we can meet closer to where you are! We'll miss you in DC.
