I've got a package coming, that I'm eagerly awaiting. Just checked 'tracking' and it arrived in Phoenix at six tonight. It might as well not have arrived till early monday morning cause I know I'm not going it till late Monday afternoon. Grr arrgh!

I hate when that happens. There was one package I was eagerly awaiting that also arrived on a Friday. In fact, it arrived on Friday morning in a town about five minutes away from mine, but they hadn't sorted it yet, so I didn't get it until Monday afternoon. I even called about picking it up myself, but they wouldn't let me. They only allow pickups on packages that they have already tried to deliver but had been unable to. So basically my package was being held captive for three and a half days, in walking distance from me! So I totally know what you're going through. Grr aargh.

It was much better when I lived in the Midwest. If I timed the ordering right, I could get packages shipped by the land route from almost anywhere in the country in a couple days. Phoenix is still a backwater delivery-wise so this one is going to take a whole week, not counting the time it took for the place to fill the order.
