Our little place in the woods

Our mess hall. The kitchen was in proportionately large.

The great room was comfortable with a huge pit group couch. Unfortunately the TV had no sound and the DVD player had no remote.
dlgood fixed it with the help of a new remote, a spare TV and a couple of cables. I'd bet the rental company won't get it straightened out for the next group.

The backyard looked as scruffy as mine at home. Too much rain and snow last winter. There was a trail leading out toward this direction (the west) through the yard with big hoof prints, might have been bison, deer or elk.

Mt Eldon. Many of the distant trees you can see burned in the fire. In the full-sized version of this I can see many dead trees over there. There has been bark beetle damage to the forest because of recent dry years.

It was difficult to notice the small spots of beauty for all the huge ones

Our picnic at the Grand Canyon Visitors' Center

I wanted to get a picture of everyone together at the rim, but the canyon called. See how many ATPo members you can spot in the crowd.

Little Bit at the Big Canyon

The canyon with a bit of the Bright Angel Trail on the right.

Fresne and Masq (center) on the Bright Angel Trail. Oh, my gosh, they didn't push Jane over the edge, did they?

Dave and Anom wait for the canyon to say cheese

Wind swept little tree on the rim

There were some bison (or possibly beeffalo) in a pen not far away from the cabin. Jane and Fresne go to have a closer look.

The hairy critters.

It was a cozy little cabin, wasn't it? LOL.
Luckily for me, Masq and Fresne decided I'd make a mess of the place if they tossed me over the edge. Heee.
