When I first moved here 11+ years ago, and was figuring out what was in the area, I tried out a restaurant not too far from here. I didn't care for it much, so I hadn't been back. A day or so ago I got an ad for the same place, and saw that the menu was different. So, yesterday I thought I try it again. They've been in business the whole time and maybe they'd have a new cook.
The service was good, the portions were large and it wasn't expensive. But the food was still second rate. It tasted okay, but I could do better at home. The stuff that should have been crisp was mushy and the bread a tiny bit stale. It's hard to understand how they compete. There are many good restaurants within a few miles. But I suppose they are on the edge of the commercial area and they are the closest restaurant to a lot of houses. Don't think I'll be back any time soon.
