1. Make a list of 5 things that are in reach.
Two computers with all the trimmings. An old TV set with HD converter. A bill I just paid on-line. A set of small tools.
2. What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas. Kids, good food.
3. What is one item of clothing you wish you could always wear?
Clothes are about comfort and warmth. What's great here in the winter is intolerable in the summer. So I'd have to say there is no one item.
4. Books, hard cover or soft cover?
Either. I started collecting hard cover books when I was in college, because I thought it would look cool someday when I had a library in the house. Once I got a job it didn't seem so important. Now that I have a library in the house, I couldn't care less.
5. What do you hear right now?
The computer fan and the faint buzz of CFLs. Sirius must be asleep.
6. Who was the last person you hugged?
No comment.
7. What random song just popped in your head now?
Nothing. Yesterday it was the Chorale from Beethoven's Ninth.
8. What did you do today?
Paid a bill on line, checked LJ.
9. What was the last text you received?
I've never received one.
What was the last item of new clothing your purchased?
Pants. Wore holes in the old ones.
10. What websites do you always visit when you go on line?
LJ, a couple of newspaper websites for varied perspective from around the country, a sports site for a guilty pleasure.
11. What is your next big planned purchase?
I'm avoiding big purchases.
12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I don't travel very well any more, not sure I want to go anywhere.
13. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
That's very much up in the air.
14. Where's your tattoo/Where would you like a tattoo?
Any place, but on me.
15. What are you doing this weekend?
Working on a dictionary.
16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?
I've been practicing the keyboard a lot lately. Need to get my mandolins out more.

Historian without having to write all that history. ;o)
