Surprise!

I was just now working at the table in this picture and I heard Sirius part the blinds to peek out as in the picture. The next thing I knew there was a great commotion and I looked up. There was pigeon sitting on the outside of the horizontal bar above the lower window pane right where Sirius opens the blinds to peek out. The glare is too bright in the picture to see it. But the bar is well toward the top in the picture. Sirius was up on the sill hopping up and down on his hind legs trying to get at the pigeon on the other side of the window. The pigeon obviously hadn't seen the cat yet, but the blinds were moving from the cat crashing around, and the pigeon was flapping its wings. I guess the bird finally looked down because it suddenly fell backwards off the window. The pigeon looked as big as the cat, but it was lucky that glass was there!
