So the Astros are going to the American League and now Bud Selig can die a happy man, having stuck someone else where his Brewers started out. I'm just happy the sale of the Astros ended the discussion of the Diamondbacks going to the American League. Selig had been hinting around about that possibility for a decade. The owners here kept saying, "No" or "Hell no," which Selig always took as meaning "Ask me about that again later."

There apparently will be two wild cards also staring in 2013, which will ensure more money for starving baseball owners. Also inter-league play every night of the season. That won't get old soon. Ha! Ha!

When it looked like Missouri moving to the SEC wasn't going to attract a lot of bad publicity compared to you-know-what back east, Pinkel, the head football coach, decided it would be a great time to drive home drunk. I hope he gets suspended for the Kansas game. He'll probably be missed if it's this week against Texas Tech. ETA: Looks like he'll be suspended for both of the final games. Maybe he can join Bridget and Andrew in the Turks and Caicos, instead.
