What was going on last night?

Is it international 'Let's repeat New Year's party weekend?'

A good portion of my friends list was three sheets to the wind last night. My noisy neighbor had a big party till 1:00 a.m. for the second weekend in a row. I'd have been mad, but as ill as I've been I know I would have had trouble sleeping anyway. So, I'll excuse them for last night.

Think I'll go out now and get their dog barking at me, though. That'll fix 'em. ;o)

ETA The dog wasn't much interested in barking at me. It must be hungover, too!

I would say one sheet for me! And not hungover either. Sorry about the neighbour's party. They should have invited you!

They're the kind of neighbors that if they ask you over to a party, you smile and say, 'I'll think about it.' I think they're a couple construction workers (and frequently their temporary live-in girlfriends). They're not so bad unless they invite all their friends over and get drunk. But, as far as intellect goes these two are still pretty much dazzled by the discovery of fire. ;o)

yes, I wondered the same thing last night - I'd gone out to dinner with cjlasky after a movie and the restaurant had all these huge groups come in - was more crowded than I'd ever seen it. Lots of folks wandering about. Maybe people decided to celebrate the new year a week late? OR it's the feast of the epiphany?

I tried to have a glass of wine New Year's Eve, and couldn't even get past two sips because I was ill that night. And I was home posting in ATPo chat, not out at the party I had been invited to. And I went to bed an hour before PST midnight.

So I think this just *was* my NYE.
