RIP Alex Karras, who punched out a horse in the movie Blazing Saddles and whose Canadian Football League TV broadcasts lead directly to that US institution called Monday Night Football.
I was sorry to hear of Alex Karras's death. That moment when he punched the horse was great, & I loved the lines "Mongo!" "Santa María!" (BTW, FreeRice.com pays tribute to his performance by including "strong, stupid man" as an answer choice for the vocabulary words "mongo" & "mungo.")
