The networks announce fall shows and trial balloons for those that will fail. My thoughts in straight brackets [ ].

ABC
American Crime (not yet scheduled) Couple gets attacked in their home, the neighbors fret. [I don't think so]
Blackish (Wednesdays) Comedy about Oreophobia, the fear of being black on the outside and white on the inside [Not my kind of thing, but it might fly]
Cristela (Fridays) Comedy about a Chicana whose family worries she's not lazy enough for their culture. [Don't blame me. That's what the synopsis on the ABC site more or less says. No way I'd give it try!]
Forever (Tuesdays) Medical examiner is mysteriously immortal. A la Highlander? Vegan Vampire? [Sounds odd enough to give it a look. But I wouldn't get my hopes up.]
Fresh off the Boat (not yet scheduled) The East Asian stereo-types version of Blackish and or Cristela. Folks move from Chinatown into suburbia in the 90s. [Since it's not on the schedule and the other two are, I'd guess this is going to be very thin on entertainment. In fact I'd feel better about any of them if it didn't look like ABC is making a patronizing attempt to be seem inclusive toward minority X, Y, and Z. Taking minority actors seriously is good. Consigning minority X, Y, and Z actors to self deprecating comedies is not]
Galavant (not yet scheduled) Comedy, obviously a parody of Once Upon a Time. [If OUAT had never existed I'd be more interested.]
How to Get Away With Murder (Thursdays) Law students get sucked into genuine plot by their professor. [Sounds like a great movie and a meandering waste of a TV series.]
Manhattan Love Story (Tuesdays) Friends/How I met Your Mother with everyone's thoughts exposing the contradictions of their actions. [If it were on NBC instead of ABC, it would sound less iffy.]
Agent Carter (not yet scheduled) Looks like an American version of Bletchley Circle. [It's sure to be dumbed down and less thought provoking. But hopefully it will be a bit less nasty, too. This could be a good.]
Secrets and Lies (not yet scheduled) Looks like Scandal set in the suburbs. [No]
Selfie (Thursdays) Zany comedy about girl having to adjust from social media to the real world [Puke]
The Whisper (not yet scheduled) Sci-fi/horror about aliens taking over our children. [No]

NBC
State of Affairs (November) West Wing meets Scandal? [No]
Marry Me (Tuesdays) Awkward proposal blow-up turns into TV show about getting back to point of wanting to propose and accept. [Acceptable romantic comedy movie plot wasted on TV series]
The Mysteries of Laura (Wednesdays) Female homicide detective with kids and unwanted husband. Sounds a bit like Castle could be in a few years. [Nothing new, but the trailer looks classy]
Bad Judge (Thursdays) Comedy about party girl/ judge [No]
Constantine (Fridays) Comic book action show [Not for me]
A to Z (Thursdays) Romantic comedy[Nope]
Alliegence (not yet scheduled) Spy drama/soap opera [Nope]
Aquarius (not yet scheduled) Very complicated 1960's counterculture drama. [I was there in the 60s. I'll pass]
Emerald City(not yet scheduled) OUAT rip off. [No]
Mission Control(Not yet scheduled) Comedy about female rocket scientist being under-appreciated in the 1960s. [Puke]
Mr Robinson(not yet scheduled) Comedy about swingin' black substitute teacher. [no]
Odyssey (not yet scheduled) Super soldier/mom finds link between jihadists and corporate baddies [Sounds like it's only for conspiracy nuts. No, no, no.]
One Big Happy (not yet scheduled) Straight guy and his lesbian best friend decide to have a petri-dish baby. Guy suddenly marries girl who lesbian friend is not crazy about. [Sheesh]
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (not yet scheduled) Rescued from long years in a cult, starry-eyed girl decides to live the New York cliche. [The first season of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, if Mary Richards had been an under-educated religious cultist. Hell, no.]
