I really got irked at the show Medium, last night. The main plots are fine, but TV Allison is an unpleasant bitca in her family life and her husband is alternately a pathetic wimp and an absurdly doubting clown. Neither of the two supports the other which the writers seem to think is hunky-dory. Also, the writers' idea of child raising borders on neglect. I think I've seen enough. I won't be watching that show any more. It's too bad. It had some promise.

Yep, I'm with you on this one. I was appalled by the incessant Mulder-and-Scullying last night. She's been right so many times, when is he going to give up the nagging, doubting act?

I'll probably still have to watch though, as the SO is hooked and considers it to be quality time spent together, LOL.

See, even if you're not on the same wave length, you two are thinking about each other in some way other than how you can make each other feel worthless and miserable. The writer's of Medium don't seem to recognize that as a valid life style.

My major problem with the show at the moment is, like you said, it's basically the exact same conflict week after week between the husband and wife. Every week they have the same argument, and every week it's resolved pretty much the same way. On the whole, though, I still find it entertaining. Some of the plot twists still surprise me (although I found last night's quite obvious and more of a retread of past stories than anything else, which isn't great on a show not yet done with its first, truncated season), and I like Allison as a character, for the most part. But her family life scenes really drag the show down. Add to that the fact that I find the girls who play her daughters absolutely horrible actresses, and it does take away a great deal of points from the series.

I stopped watching after the third episode. It just lost my interest, and the characters were boring.
