Been to an NFL game? No. Baseball, Basketball - yes. NFL - no. I went to football games at Ohio State which had much higher attendance even then than the NFL has now. I was at a minor league hockey game a couple times; very cool, lots of action and no fighting. The MLB baseball games were fun. The NBA basketball game I went to was very dull.
Been to Canada? Yes - Vancouver, Calgary, Moose Jaw, several National Parks.
Visited Florida? Never been close
Visited Mexico? Just a shopping trip in Nogales
Visited Vegas? Back in the old days when you could see folks playing slot machines in the casinos while you drove down The Strip.
Eaten alone at a restaurant? Yes, many times.
Ability to read music? Yes, I can sight read and play the mandolin, but not sight sing.
Rode a motorcycle? Yes, but not very far.
Ridden a horse? Yes, My mother's friends in Kansas had horses.
Stayed in a hospital? Not since I was born.
Donated blood? No.
Been snow skiing? No, when I wanted to go to school in psychology I applied to places near skiing so I could learn. When I gave up on psychology, all that went out the window.
Been to Disney World or Disney Land? Disneyland, back before some of you were born!
Slept outside? I was in Boy Scouts and later I went on a couple long cross-country camping trips with my sister and her husband when I was in high school. It was a lot of fun then. But it takes good company. Otherwise I'd just as soon sleep in a bed in an air conditioned room.
Driven a stick shift? Yep, didn't like it much. The clutch on my dad's truck was horrible; the one on his car only a little better. My brother's sporty car had a clutch that was easy to work, and wouldn't have been a pain to drive. I never owned anything but an automatic.
Ridden in an 18 wheeler? No.
Driven a boat? Yes, my dad loved boating. We had a place on the Mississippi River we'd go on weekends.
Eaten Escargot? No.
Been on a cruise? Nope. Thanks to our place on the river (see above) I'd had my fill of riding on the water in high school. I've been on short trips on salt water (European and American ferries) and a few short river excursions, but cruise ships aren't for me.
Run out of gas? Only when driving a riding lawn mower with no gas gauge. I think my father almost ran out of gas one night when I was in the car, but we rolled into the gas station on the last fumes.
Been on TV? Yep, on the news, but only in the crowd. I was sitting at a public meeting with my brother. My brother was very overweight then. About all you could see in the middle of the picture on the evening news was his big stomach in a checkered shirt and my bald head! I was probably on TV when a wide receiver scored a touchdown and practically fell in our laps at the corner of the end zone, but I never saw that play on TV.
