I expected a fairly ho-hum clone of Crossing Jordan or Cold Case, but it was pretty good. It's still basically a crime show, but I think it shows promise. "Bones' the forensic anthropologist seems a lot more human than most of the lady crime solvers we've seen. DB is excellent as the FBI man 'with a soul.' (must have been another gypsy curse) ;o)

It's really not that kind of show. Don't expect much of an arc in this one. The essentials are the scientist is a social misfit and wanna-be detective, the FBI guy both respects her work and seems kinda sweet on her. Both he and she are very dedicated and a bit out of touch with the world at large. Her coworkers influence her as his do him. The two groups don't think very highly of each other. In the pilot, the two solve crime (well, duh) and help each other try to act more human.
