1. Where would you like to retire to?
Made that choice long ago. Arizona. It's fine for me, but with so many Californians moving here driving up housing prices, I don't know how long it will be good for others.
2. Do you play online multiplayer games?
No. Who wants to play games with random 13-year-olds who'd rather show their 'intelligence' by cheating than have fun playing the game as designed.
3. What is the longest you have ever slept?
I don't think it was much longer than 10 hours. My sister used to come home from college and sleep 16 hours or so.
4. Who was the last person you called?
I think it was my neighbor about going out for breakfast.
5. What was the last amusement park ride you went on?
I don't remember; maybe a roller-coaster at Six Flags.
6. What is your favorite brand of pens?
Since the manufacture has changed in the last ten years, it's hard to stay with a brand anymore. It used to be Pentel Rolling-Writers. You could write for hours and not get cramps. I wrote my thesis and all my PhD exams with them. These days I like Pilot Precise, good and dark with a thin line. Mostly I use black ink with blue for a change. I use good old Bic stick pens for quick notes like grocery lists.
7. What is the biggest waste of energy in your life right now?
Trimming the bushes? It's the rainy season and they grow back fast.
8. Do you set an alarm to wake up?
Not regularly since I retired.
9. What was the longest train ride you've been on?
The longest trips were between Oslo and Copenhagen with a train-ferry ride in the mix in those days.
10. What's the silliest thing you've believed, that turned out to be untrue?
Well, I guess I started watching an early season of The Apprentice thinking Donald Trump was a decent human being. By the end of that season I was convinced he was a bit of a scum bag.
