A is for Argument: Who is the last person you argued with and what was it about?

It's been a while. I can honestly say I don't remember.

B is for Breakfast: Do you eat breakfast? What do you usually have?

Not really. I eat a sort of brunch between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. of plain yogurt and fruit.

C is for Car: Do you have one? What kind? If not, how do you usually travel?

I live in the Western U.S. One needs a car. Mine is an old SUV.

D is for Dinner: What's on the menu tonight?

Tonight it was leftover jambalaya. I'll probably make tacos over the weekend.

E is for Excellence: Name one thing you think you're really good at

Games: board, card, computer. I'm usually terrible until I've played for awhile. Then I get good in a hurry, and then people don't want to play against me any more. So I play a lot of games solo.

F is for Friends: Tell us something you like about the last friend you spoke to:

He's an old coot like me so we share a lot of cultural experiences.

G is for Games: What's the last game you played (computer or board game)?

Computer Game - I got a new console this month, and the game Hogwarts Legacy. Mostly puzzles, some magical combat.

H is for Home: Where do you consider to be your "hometown"? Is it where you live now?

Home will always be the St. Louis area. But I've lived in Arizona for more than two decades.

I is for Internet: What websites do you look at every day?

Dreamwidth, Local weather, YouTube.

J is for Job: What did you want to be when you grew up? Are you doing that now?

Well, in high school I thought it would be cool to be a psychologist. I got a degree in psychology before I decided it wasn't for me. I'm retired now so it doesn't matter.

K is for Kitchen: Are you a good cook? What's your go-to dish?

I'm okay. Chili is probably my best dish.

L is for Learning: Are you studying or learning anything new right now?

At the moment no, but that could change very quickly.

M is for Movies: What's the last one you watched and did you like it?

I think it was Hitchcock's Rear Window on DVD. It's a bit dated.

N is for Nightmares: Do you have bad dreams? Any recurring themes?

My high school only had limited transportation for kids who stayed after school for sports and other activities. I have still have nightmares about missing the bus and having to walk home (12 miles in real life.)

O is for Orders: What's the last thing you bought online?

Some software for my new work computer.

P is for Pop Culture: Do you follow the world of celebrity and know what the hottest new music, movies and trends are?

Nope. I attribute the fact that I have much better hearing than my fellow senior neighbors to not listening to much loud pop music back in the day.

Q is for Quiet: If you're home alone, do you like silence or background noise like music or the TV?

I can go either way. Silence is good, so is background music or TV.

R is for Reading: What's your go-to genre?

Lately it's been mystery.

S is for Sweets: What's your favorite dessert or sweet treat?
I guess I have to say apple fritters, because I bought them twice recently. For candy I've enjoyed black licorice fairly recently.

T is for Travel: Where did you last take a trip?

The Grand Canyon with friends.

U is for Useless: Name something you're just really bad at

Drawing. I'll blame dysgraphia.

V is for Vision: Do you wear glasses or contact lenses?

I wear glasses to read. I wore glasses and contacts for near-sightedness since I was a kid, but got to quit all that when I got surgery for cataracts.

W is for Weather: What's your perfect day, weather-wise?

Here, a nice clear morning with afternoon rain. The rain part is rare here in the desert.

X is for X-Men: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

I don't know. Life is a big enough mess without superpowers.

Y is for Yesteryear: What period of history is most interesting to you?

Maybe Europe between Napoleon and the uprisings in the 1840s.

Z is for Zero: what popular activity do you have zero interest in doing?

Skydiving. Even when I was young enough to try it, I thought it was nuts.
