1. Do you have a button stash.
Yep, can't say it's helped me much, since the number of button styles and colors seems to exceed the number of atoms in the universe. But once in a great while it does help.
2. – Take a Hike Day: When was the last time you took a hike?
I don't remember, but it was in Yellowstone Park sometime after I retired.
3 – Princess Day: What is your opinion of Disney princesses? How do you feel about real life princesses?
As a daydream for little girls they are fine. Adolescent girls should move on. Never met a real life princess, and I'm not sure I'd want to.
4 – Play Monopoly Day: Have you ever played Monopoly? Did you enjoy it?
Multiple times. It's not that bad the first half hour. Then people get bored and do whatever to get out of the game and wreck what little enjoyment is left for the rest of the players.
5 – Name Your PC Day: Does your PC (or laptop) have a name?
Yes, they ask for one when you first start up you PC or laptop. Can't remember what I chose for this one.
6 – World Television Day: Did you watch TV as a child? Do you still watch TV?
I was pretty much an only child for years when my brother and sister were in school. So I watched a lot of TV before I started school myself. I watched a lot till I graduated from HS, then decided I should let it alone while in college. Since then I've progressively watched less, till today when I might watch the local news, a few minutes of the national news and something on the oldies channel for a half hour, before moving on to doing something else.
7 – Go For a Ride Day: Do you ride anything? e.g. horse, motorcycle, sled, etc. When was the last time you rode?
Not much of a rider. Don't like motor cycles (Everyone I ever knew who rode one ended up hurt or dead in a motorcycle accident). Horses ignore me, so no horseback riding. The last time I went sledding I crashed hard into a tree and messed up the sled, luckily I was okay.
8 – Espresso Day: Do you drink coffee? How do you drink your coffee?
I don't drink the stuff. Mocha is a crime against chocolate in my book.
9 – Flossing Day: Do you floss regularly?
Irregularly.
10 – Shopping Reminder Day: Shopping Reminder Day falls roughly a month before Christmas, and as such it’s the perfect reminder to go ahead and get started on all of your holiday shopping. How do you feel about holiday shopping? Do you need a reminder to go shopping for holiday gifts?
I opted out of giving gifts many years ago. But people complain if I don't send a letter at Christmas time.
11 – Cake Day: Cake or pie? Or something else?
I like cake, but with the set of kitchen equipment (no cake pans) I have I can only make pie. So berry pie for Thanksgiving this year.
12 – Pins and Needles Day: Can you sew, either by hand or by machine? What was the last thing you sewed?
I can sew by hand. I was shown how to sew on a machine, but never actually learned how to set up a sewing machine.
Sadly the last thing was a torn work shirt last month. After I made the repair, I was hanging it up and the blunt point of a hanger went right through it at a completely different spot. Much work wasted for something that now is an official rag helping keep the cat warm.
13 – French Toast Day: Do you like French toast?
I'll eat it, but I'd rather just have the eggs and bread separately and no syrup.
14 – Throw Out Your Leftovers Day: How do you feel about leftovers? Are you happy to eat the same food more than once in a row, or do you crave variety in your diet? Do you take leftovers home from a restaurant when/if you eat out?
I cook something big about once or twice a week, usually enough for three or four nights. Last night it was spaghetti. It might be pork chops or chicken or chili or something else so I don't have to cook every night. Cook something good and it's fine for a few days, with a fresh salad and some vegetables.
If I'm full I will take home a doggy bag from a restaurant.
15 – Stay Home Because Your Well Day: Have you ever taken a mental health day from your job, or just decided not to go to work even though you weren't sick, because you felt like staying home or for some other reason?
Short of skipping school once in a great while, when I wasn't really sick, no. When I was a teen I was helping in the family business in the summer and it made no sense to cut my family's income by goofing off at home. It's something I kept up through my working years: If you're sick stay home and not infect everyone else, if you're well go to work and do what you can even if you spend the day wishing the end of the day would come sooner.
