I spent a quiet Christmas with my sister. (Going to have another much less quiet one next weekend with the rest of the Arizona family; scheduling problems, meh.) We had our family traditional late breakfast, big dinner, no late meal and the rest of the day spent on a big jigsaw puzzle. I tried playing Christmas carols on my mandolin with so-so results. I'm going to have to practice a lot if I'm going to bring it to play at Tahoe.

I am proud though, I ate no candy yesterday! My sister gave me a box of candy, but as long as there's no feast, I can get by with a few pieces a day.

No candy? Yikes! I survived on candy. A confession--we both slept in until after 11 yesterday morning, so it's going to be Turkey Day today, instead. This is the first time this has ever happened, but with an 18 pound turkey, it was just too late to get things started by the time we were conscious and fully operational. As a result, yesterday was a very relaxing and enjoyable day, and today will be special, as well!

Happy Boxing Day!
