Nobody remembers the names of the characters!!!

How are we supposed to remember one of the assistants is Zack and the other Jack? Who in the world named Dr. Brennan "Temperance?" "Seely" Booth is even harder to remember. Dr. Goodman isn't so tough, but quick, give the last names of Bones' assistants. Zack Addy, Jack Hodgins (Not the more familiar Hodges, Hodgkins, or Hodgson) and Angela ... Oh shoot, I forgot again!!

Well, in all fairness, it wasn't the TV show people who picked "Temperance" for the main character. As I know from reading the tie-in novel written by a NY Times best-selling author based on the TV show "Bones" created by Hart Hanson (perhaps a clue to the odd names) which features the character created by a different NY Times best-selling author. On the other hand it wasn't until I was reading it that I finally figured out Booth's first name. Heh.

I assumed that Temperance was named by Kathy Reichs, whose novels the show is based on. I may be wrong, since I haven't read any of them. She doesn't seem to use her first name much, though! Can't say I blame her.

I knew someone named Prudence and I keep calling Bones, "Prudence Brennan."

What's even more confusing to me, having read ALL the books, is that no one ever calls Brennan "Bones," or even "Brennan," in the books. They all call her "Tempe." Now, what the heck is that? "Temp," as in temperature? Or "Tem-pee," as in...sounds really stupid?

And there is no Booth, Seely or otherwise, in the books by Kathy Reichs. Brennan's lover FBI guy has been dead for some time. He blowed up, or burned up, I can't quite remember.

I do love the way Dr. Goodman says "Temperance," though. Mind you, I could listen to that man read the phone book.

The only Tempe I know is the town where Masq and Cheryl went to school over on the other side of Phoenix. That's pronounced tem-PEE and I doubt that's what her nicknme is.

Some people just aren't that good at dreaming up names for their characters, I guess. ;o)

LOL. I never went to school at ASU, but we did all meet for lunch there once. ;-)

I'm glad others also have trouble remembering their names! When I got home Sunday, I checked IMDB and found Zach's name, but didn't notice the different spelling for Hodgins.

Re ASU: Oops, I guess I got confused.

Re Jack: I was just pointing out the possible things that Hodgins sounds like. Before you told me, I think I was trying to make it into Hodges. Someone at ATPo came up with Hodgkins even after I wrote it correctly.
