Well, blooms of yesterday and yesteryear.
Here is my sage with darker flowers. A recent rain brought at least a few blossoms.

This one is the cousin of the cactus with no spines from the day before yesterday. Notice it has very similar flowers without the red throat. Notice also the shape of the plant, a five pointed star which is where the Latin name Astrophytum comes from.

This is the same plant last year with two blooms fully open at once. That isn't happening this year.
