Yucca in the twilight
This may be more familiar than usual, since some kinds of yucca grow in many parts of North America and have similar blooms. But, these are the first blooms I've had from my yuccas here. This stalk is about 7 foot tall.

That's impressive. I don't think I've ever seen a yucca before. Are the flowers bell shaped?

Yes, the buds start out pointing up, as you may be able to make out at the top and ends of the little branches. They turn over as they develop and open downward.

It kind of reminds me of trees in the winter, with little pockets of snow on the branches. Neat.
