I had a nice long lunch with
soulfulspike80 and
masqthephlsphr. It's great when people who don't see each other for months have so much to talk about in common. Yes, I see Cheryl every few months, and talk to and read about Masq's doings every week. But, it's still barely imaginable for someone who grew up the era before personal computers, to realize that we'd be making good friends long before we ever see the people face to face and stay in touch for so long when we've been together so seldom.

For me, too. I can hardly imagine being without my computer now, it's become a big part of my social life...(is that kind of sad? am I just another computer nerd now?) I really don't care, just as long as it gives me access to all the wonderful friends I've made on ATPo and LJ. It's even more wonderful when the friends I have made on line are just as comfortable when we meet in RL. I remember the ATPo meet in Chicago, walking into 'Bit's room, and thinking that everyone was as warm and welcoming in person as I could ever have imagined.
I'm looking forward to meeting you and the others I have yet to meet face to face!
Is it Tahoe yet?

I'm jealous! I know you're all going to have a blast in Tahoe. One of these days I'll make it to a gathering so I can meet more of this great group. Lunch was fun - I couldn't believe how fast the time flew.
CW, I got my new phone afterwords and it has so many bells and whistles on it I'll be spending the rest of the weekend figuring it out (when I'm not trying to catch up on LJs, of course ).
