Westward (Tahoeward?) Ho!

It's less than two weeks for me till I start out. I'm having trouble getting anything done. The house needs serious cleaning. I need to decide what not to take (I have about a zillion things I'd like to take, but why I don't know!).

Things I will take: (Can you tell I'm antsy to go, yet?)

camera plus spare battery
cot for anom
cookie sheet for Ann1962
musical instrument of mandolin family (can't decide which yet)
corkscrew

Things I could take:

Scrabble set
Puzzle magazines to kill time when others tell me to go to my room and stay there till I can behave myself.
My novella (in case someone would like to read something I've written)
My novel (In case someone thinks War and Peace was too short and had too few characters)
Firefly and Serenity DVDs

Things I will not take:

Cacti (I will, however, bring a watch... Not that great a joke? Oh, well.)
Pictures of cacti
Computer (I don't have a lap top)
Buffy, the dog (she doesn't belong to me, and the cabin says no pets)
Dust storms (We had one here last night)
My pink fuzzy jammies (I don't have any of that description, thank God)
A suit
A tie, bow or otherwise.

These sound like two very appropriate lists, with the single exception that the fuzzy pink jammies should definitely go in the "to take" list!
