No big deal for most of you. But, this evening was the first time it's rained in June here at my house since 1999.

The storm was very much like our late summer monsoon storms, but it's way early for that.

Love the stormy weather - but it just figures that my sister-in-law and her parents are flying in tonight (separately, from Miami and DC) and the airport closes!! It won't effect Ellie but I don't know what happened with her parents' flight since they were due to arrive during the height of the storm.

They said on the news they were holding arriving flights until an hour's worth of departing flights took off.

It's something to watch it happen when it sprinkles. Almost like the rain drops painting the spines.

They sometimes call bright red ones like this fire barrels.
