If you've done a little genealogy and can do the math, this is fairly obvious http://msnbc.msn.com/id/13662242/?GT1=8307 . I'd guess that the chance any particular person with any Western European ancestry is not a descendant of Charlemagne is very slim.

What a hoot! A couple of years ago I followed one of my father's maternal ancestors back to Charlemagne and then thought, "Nah. That's crazy."
