Hot enough, thank you. It was 118 F (47+ C) here this afternoon. That's hotter than it's been since I moved here. Later there were heat of the day thunderstorms in the area, but none here.

Holy crap. I just whined about it being around 35C out at the farm. I can't even imagine 47C!!!

Yep, I have a T-Shirt my sister sent me commemorating that 'cool' day. Fortunately, I was living in St. Louis and unlike today, most of St. Louis had power that day!

Yiii!! You're living in my idea of Hell. It may get up to 100F here today, which is close enough to Hell for me, thanks very much.

Those were in my neck of the woods. A house not far from me apparently was hit by lightening. I left work early and saw the storm clouds out further north (Cave Creek probably). I stopped at Target for about 10 minutes and when I came out the winds were kicking up already and lightening was everywhere. It was a scary drive home!

I saw the video of the house that got hit. I think lightning must have hit the swamp cooler or the power line going into the house, because there didn't seen to be any damage to the roof, but there was smoke leaking out around the cooler and elsewhere. I wondered if it stormed as far south as your place, but sometimes its hard to tell from the radar maps. All I got was a little wind, but nothing exciting.
