Although at one time it seemed like the best technology had to offer, I officially gave up on zip disks today. I had my fourth removable disk die on me. It's been over a period of many years. But, it's always the disks you use the most that die. The one today did not have any vital information and it was backed up recently. So I'm not deserving of any great sympathy. Still it's a little unsettling to realize it's time to move on to something newer and better, when I thought what I had would last as long as I needed it.

In better news I was playing with the photo editing software and came up with this this morning

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

It's cloudy this morning and I can see mountains out my window almost any day. But, somehow it's not the same. ;o)

Re: USB flash drive.

I completely understand the loseability factor. I'm frankly surprised that I've been able to keep tabs on mine for so long. I think I've had it for almost a year. Meanwhile D, had his for about 5 months before he lost it somewhere in the move. That was almost 7 months ago. It's in the flat somewhere, we just haven't located it just yet. ;o)
