1. Do you think your country would change if everyone, regardless of age or any other current restriction, could vote? If yes, in what ways?
No. Decades ago, the Democrats lowered the voting age to 18 thinking they would never lose another election. Fooled them.
2. Is there a movie or TV show you can watch over and over again without tiring of it?
At the moment, the old drama Emergency!.
3. If an actor who is really well known for one role turns up in another film or TV show playing a different character, do you have trouble not seeing them as their more famous character?
The one that really bothered me was David Thewlis in Wonder Woman. I kept thinking why are they trying to make Professor Lupin evil?
4. Regardless of your age, what "old person" thing(s) do you do?
Grumble about what's wrong with younger people?
5. Do you often get the hiccups? If yes, do you have a go-to cure for them?
No, holding my breath does seem to get rid of them.
7. What was the last funny video you watched?
By chance it was a British couple watching Abbott and Costello's famous "Who's on First" baseball routine. The woman particularly seemed to waver between gales of giggles and an expression of "what the hell are they talking about?"
8. Which current or at least recent news story is the most interesting to you?
Russia vs Ukraine.
9. Would you rather ask for help with a difficult task, or figure it out for yourself?
I'd rather figure it out myself. But with the Internet, getting help is so easy that...
10. What do you think is the best sitcom (current or past)?
Cheers
11. What do you think is the most overrated movie?
The Soviet sci-fi flick Solaris. The tendency was to praise any Soviet art that was not outright awful to the skies. Solaris is tedious but pretty in spots.
12. Who would you most like and least like to be stuck in an elevator with?
Most: a friend I don't see enough of.
Least: a panicky loudmouth.( Read more... )
