I laughed out loud at 5a.

D D C C A

Though I didn't see last night's episode.

Hee. You gave up on taking this seriously, haven't you? ;-)

1) The head of wardrobe for the show is an evil bitch

And ironically the same head of wardrobe for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. (which may explain Willow's clothing, not to mention Xander's)

Although I've seen men with pink ties quite a bit on tv...it appears to be a trend.

2. Bridget will pass the sonogram because

Current theory is Andrew. Which doesn't make a lot sense...considering she can't be that far along. Malcolm makes more sense - but that makes her a bit..far along although we don't know how long Siobhan was pregnant for.
If this was a comedy - I'd go with C. If this was Ryan Murphy? definitely b or possibly all of the above. If this were a daytime soap, definitely a.

There's also a theory going around that Gemma aka dumbass bitca is not really dead and is in reality the secret love of Charlie aka Bridget's new sponsor aka Siobhan's henchman. Is it wrong to hope she's dead, Gemma I mean?

Juliet had a multi-million dollar trust fund paying her as a teenager because

Admittedly? I wasn't sure if he was taking it away from her for good or just for the time being. This is such a classic soap opera trick. Kids are always getting their trust funds taken away from them before they even reach 21...

Juliet's English teacher is

Hard to tell...could be all of the above.

Bridget passed out because

I was going with - that she tripped over her heels and knocked herself out.
But I guess "c" works too. Although maybe it's the fact that she's hint, hint, really pregnant? Personally "a" is my favorite.

See, I liked Gemma because she was the only character on the show with a sense of humor, and who actually made any jokes.

5c)(ii): It was a plot to escape the boring exhibitionexposition. Thanks for the quiz, CW--I wondered about the pink tie too!

Yeah, I've been following the show, but I think they're losing me. Although I'm still trying to figure out if the title is also a reference to the role of cell phones in the plots. On the other hand, since a major purpose of the show seems to be to put SMG in those outfits & I'm entirely uninterested in that, I'm not sure how long I'll stick with it.

Other things I've been wondering:

Bridget is surprised when Charlie recognizes her (as "Siobhan") even though her face has been all over the news because...?

Malcolm keeps the bloody T-shirt on in a semi-public bathroom where it could be seen because...?

Nobody from his university reported Malcolm missing because...?

I'm most likely to drop this show because...? (OK, it's the kinds of things listed above plus the dependence on farfetched coincidence.)

As I told Shadowkat I had problems with Juliet (the mouthy daughter) knowing her public-high-school English teacher's phone number.

I was a little bored last night until I realized I kind of like the unintentional laughs, silly coincidences and the mistakes. It's nothing great, but I'm finding it amusing.

The teacher's phone no.--that was the other one! Then there are all the things that should have easy answers that they don't pick up on.

The title "Ringer" is a reference to the movie "Dead Ringer" - one of two movies starring Bette Davis in twin/mistaken identity roles.

From: [identity profile] anomster.livejournal.com

Y'know, the phrase "dead ringer" had occurred to me in connection to the show, but not the movies, which I'd heard of but don't think I've ever seen. And I didn't know there were 2 of them!
